Carb Counter

Carb counter madness is taking over. But don't let your newfound status as a carb counter jeopardize your future.

Be A Smart Carb Counter

That guy sitting over there is a real carb counter!

That's what they are saying about you... and we are not sure it's complimentary. When you talk about a person that is all obsessive and crazed about being this carb counter dude, who monitors every single carbohydrate that gets anywhere near his body, you are not necessarily talking about him (or her) in a positive light. This is because, like most dieters, they are looking for a quick fix, rather than a lasting solution to their weight problems. Well, there is no reason to be a worrisome carb counter when there are plenty of other things to get worked up about, dietary and otherwise.

For instance, if you don't exercise, no diet is going to work. It boosts your metabolic rate and increases cardiovascular activity which lowers blood pressure. And to exercise, you need energy to burn, which essentially means that you need carbs. Henceforth, there is only so much a carb counter is going to do for you if you do not employ a counter for all sorts of other things such as fat intake, sugar intake, time devoted to exercise on a daily basis, et cetera. This process is a lot more complicated than people make it sound, and what you find is that this magical carb counting nonsense only goes so far.

Of course, if you are looking for a carb counter to purchase online, you are on the right track.

You are trying to do something about your weight and are to be commended for it. You are concerned and looking for a new way to help yourself out without upsetting your otherwise happy lifestyle. And that's cool. That's cool.

But be realistic. A carb counter is just one part of the equation and you are not going to perform any miracles by dropping your carbohydrate intake daily and doing nothing else. Don't be fooled by the hype. Know it for what it is, and live well, my friends. Live well.
