You can be the guy who is so into dieting now that he acts all cool, even though he's lot willing to watch his overall food intake or engage in any kind of exercise. We all know this guy. He is the most lazy and out of shape son of a b!tch in the entire county, but now that he is experimenting with this low carb diet, he wants everyone to know what a health nut he is. He may be wearing a headband around to pretend he exercises, but he is a big time carbohydrate counter so he thinks he is on the fast track to losing weight and better health. Tell me you do not want to slug this freakishly annoying carbohydrate counter in the jaw.

It's all well and good to count your carbs and make sure you don't get too many of the empty ones that will just burn off and not give you a lot of lasting energy. But to think that being a hypo aggressive carbohydrate counter alone is going to help you lose weight is just kidding yourself. The key to any successful diet is moderation and exercise. Your body still needs energy to survive, and you've got a long time left on this earth. Eating that 23 ounce steak every night simply because it's on your "list" and you don't have to bust out the super fancy carbohydrate counter does not make it a good idea. 

It's more complicated than this, and we suggest you get hip.
