The focus has changed from a low carb diet to one that concentrates instead on complex carbohydrates, or good carbohydrates, which our body needs for proper functioning. Now that we know about the difference between bad carbs and good carbs we will be better able to maintain a lifestyle that will keep those extra pounds off for the long haul and not just for a few weeks! So stop avoiding good carbs and start avoiding bad carbs!
Low carb diets are still a good idea, but the emphasis must be on a complete diet change and not one that you suffer through for a few short weeks by severely limiting the amount of carbs that you eat. Make your low carbohydrate diet worthwhile and get the information you need to make the right decision about your health.

On a low carb diet? You might be looking for low carb foods. There are a lot of new foods out there that are low carbs food, and they are just as good as the full carb versions, but many of those foods have as many calories (sometimes more) as their full carb counterparts. So when you see food labeled as a food low in carbs, make sure you read the nutrition information before you indulge.
